Payment method

Payment by credit card online is the most convenient way of buying products on our web site. Simply enter your payment details in our secure payment for located on the Paypal system, which is our secure credit car payment provider, then press submit and once the transaction is cleared, you will be sent an email with your tax invoice receipt and your login details to the membership area of our web site.

Transactions are denominated in Australian dollars. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard and Diners. Credit card payments are processed through the reputable credit card gateway provider named Paypal. Processing will normally take less than 5 seconds, but may take up to 15 seconds, please do not press the submit button more than once, otherwise your credit card may be charged twice.

Your credit card will be billed to Avenues for Change. If you have any problems with your transaction, please contact us and we will endeavour to respond to you in 24 hours.

You can also make purchase from our catalogue by cheque or direct bank debit. To make a payment with these methods, contact us by email and we will email you an invoice. When payment is made, your products will be posted or made available for download

Conditions for using your credit card online

• We will not accept orders with a PO. Box for an address.
• A valid telephone number, either fixed line or mobile, is essential on the order form, as we may telephone if there are any issues with your transaction.
• It is essential to enter your email address on the order form.
• The purchaser’s name must be the same as the cardholder name, except if you are a registered corporate customer.
• We do not appreciate fraudulent credit card transactions and will do all in our power to pursue and prosecute any parties attempting fraudulent use of credit cards. We reserve the right to refuse a transaction, where we suspect that a credit card is being used fraudulently. Our credit card gateway provider applies a number of checking methods to eliminate the potential of fraudulent transactions.

Our payment form is located on the Paypal system (the world largest online payment system). Its uses Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) to ensure your payments are secure at all times. SSL is the industry standard for encryption technology and is compatible with most other browsers. You will know when transmitted data is safe by the appearance of a secure icon on your browser, which is a lock icon for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Secure web pages can also be identified by their URL: they begin with ‘https://’.

When you complete the payment form, your credit card details move through the Paypal system and into the banking system to check your card. We do not store them in our member database and this removes one of the biggest security risks of online transactions. In the event of unauthorised use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. Under the conditions of your credit card, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of a fraudulent transaction.

Digital products
If you purchase an ebook from our web site, it will be delivered in password protected PDF format. Upon completion of your transaction, you will be given a download location for the ebook and this download location can only be used once. When you have downloaded the ebook, you will be provided with a password to open the ebook. Each time you open it thereafter you will need to use the password. The PDF format book can be read on mobile phones, ebook readers and computers that have PDF reader software installed. This is freely available from here.

Postage
Postage is included in the prices of all publications sold, so you will not be charged additional postage. All items will be sent by regular post.
